Harkie uses specialist Rainblok fabric to provide waterproof arborist trousers that are practical and comfortable to wear. They’re compatible with a wide range of professional uses and are a go-to choice for arborists and highway workers.
Offering market-leading durability, these trousers offer the following features:
- Made from Rainblok fabric, which exceeds EN343 Class 4:4 for waterproofness & breathability.
- Generously-sized with an elasticated waist for a comfortable fit.
- A zipped opening on the leg makes them easier to pull on over the top of boots.
- There are two large cargo pockets to store items on the move.
- 3M reflective tape.
- EN20471 for highway use (when used with conforming upper garment).
- Also available in orange.

UK standard delivery
Standard delivery to UK mainland is free for orders over £100 before VAT, or £7.95 for smaller orders. For delivery to Scottish Highlands, Offshore Isles and Northern Ireland, there is usually a postage surcharge based on weight. You will see costs and options as part of the checkout process.
Most orders received before 2 pm are despatched the same day (excluding weekends and bank holidays) – although please allow extra time for delivery to more remote locations such as Scottish Highlands – on a next working day delivery service.
Premium delivery services
For some UK delivery locations we offer premium services such as next day or Saturday. The delivery options available to you will be offered in the checkout process. If you require a service not listed, or would like delivery on a specific day, please contact us and we will let you know availability and cost.
Delivery outside the UK
We deliver to many worldwide destinations. We have a minimum order of £500 net for export shipping. If you’d like a quote for delivery outside the UK, please contact us for a quote.

Are your trousers designed for arborists?
Yes. They’re often used by highway workers too, as they comply with EN20471.
Can the Harkie trousers be pulled on over boots?
A zipped gusset on the lower leg gives a wide opening, helping the trousers to be pulled on over your boots without needing to remove them.
Will they keep me cool and dry?
Certainly! Our Rainblok fabric meets EN343 class 4:4, the highest possible standard for water resistance but also breathability, which is key in wet but warm weather.

Just to say a big thank you for the fast delivery and what an amazing product the Harkie Defiance jacket and the Harkie waterproof trousers are. I’ve done tree surgery for the past 23 years and finally I have a waterproof jacket and trouser that are fit for purpose especially with the recent whether been so wet. It seems like the development team has put a lot of thought into the wear ability and the understanding what our work actually entails. I am so pleased with the jacket I will be looking at purchasing another one for my tree surveying days and look at getting the lads geared up in them too.
