The SWAT-T tourniquet, created by H&H Medical Corporation in the US, can be applied in seconds with no prior training. Lighter than most similar tourniquets, the SWAT-T is currently used by the US military, police force, emergency medical services (EMS) and federal agents.

This works in tandem with the Celox Gauze, which is used by NATO forces and first responder units around the world. The haemostat-impregnated gauze is packed into the wound, and when the Celox granules come in contact with blood, the granules swell and stick together to form a gel-like clot. Celox gauze is effective even on hypothermic or heparinised blood, working independently of the body’s natural clotting mechanism. With a track record of success in the field, backed up by laboratory testing, Celox gauze can stop severe bleeding and improve the casualty’s chances of survival.
